Being Helpless

Romans 5:6

For Christ, while we were still helpless, yet died at the appointed time for the ungodly.

Commentary:

In the world’s eyes being helpless is a sign of weakness, and the person who is helpless is viewed as a failure.  In Christ’s eyes, my helplessness is a strength. In my helplessness I can experience the death of Christ on the Cross. Without the Cross, there is no Resurrection.
